Profile

DIA Group (Distribuidora Internacional de Alimentación) is the leader in the neighborhood store segment with nearly 6,000 own and franchised stores in Spain, Portugal, Brazil and Argentina. Founded in 1979 and based in Madrid, it was incorporated under Spanish law and is listed on the Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Bilbao stock exchanges. 2,700 of its nearly 6,000 stores are run under the franchise system. The Group has nearly 2,700 Dia stores and 1,000 Clarel stores in Spain, 500 Minipreço stores in Portugal, 700 Dia stores in Brazil and 900 in Argentina.

Its more than 38,500 direct employees and 18,000 franchise partners are motivated by the same mission: to be "closer every day" to the people they serve and to form part of their homes by providing an essential service to the community that fosters their well-being. With the ambition to lead the neighborhood store segment in every country and brand in which DIA operates (Dia and Clarel among others), the Dia Group provides its more than twenty million customers worldwide with a more streamlined, simpler, friendlier high-quality experience accessible to all.

The Group spends 4,800 million euros with its more than 3,200 suppliers in the countries in which it operates, making 95% of its purchases locally in order to provide food that everyone can afford while aiming to generate a positive impact on the communities in which we have a presence.
